Whitney Milam is a digital director and communications strategist with a passion for storytelling. She currently leads digital communications for Proxima Fusion, and previously led digital communications for Commonwealth Fusion Systems. Previously, she worked as Director of Digital Platforms at Climate Power and Director of Digital Services for the U.S. Mission to the United Nations at the State Department. She additionally directed digital strategy for the Biden-Harris Presidential Transition, National Security Action, and the Atlantic Council.

 

Before applying her digital expertise to corporate, political, and policy communications, Whitney produced digital series and short films for New Form Digital, Discovery, Lionsgate, Legendary, and more. Additionally, she wrote and produced dozens of shows, segments, and videos for AwesomenessTV, POPSUGAR, Geek & Sundry, and CryptTV. She began her career at Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios.

 

Currently based in Massachusetts, Whitney attended UCLA and has lived in California, Washington DC, Alabama, Arizona, Idaho, Tennessee, Germany, and Japan. A life-long lover of travel, history, and literature, she is also a writer and prize-winning book collector.
